Steamboat Springs

We wrapped up snowboard season in Steamboat with a small group of friends and a perfectly timed storm.

Fresh snow changed everything. The riding was great, and the dogs had endless energy — sprinting through powder, diving into drifts, and coming back inside completely spent. That’s the goal.

By this point, our routine was locked in. Early mornings were for the dogs: long walks, time outside, letting them burn off energy before we ever left the house. Once they were settled, we hit the mountain. After riding, we repeated the process before doing anything else. It’s simple, but it keeps the days smooth and the dogs happy.

After a long day on the slopes, we made our way to Strawberry Hot Springs. It was more crowded than expected, but still exactly what we needed — hot water, tired legs, and a chance to slow everything down after a full day in the cold.

Steamboat felt like the right way to close out winter. Good snow, no rush, and dogs that were just as exhausted as we were.
